PADI Divemaster Program
Becoming a Pro

If your love of diving interests you in a full or part-time diving career, the Divemaster course is your first step. The Divemaster course is designed to train qualified individuals as supervisory personnel. This course develops your diving leadership abilities by expanding your diving theory knowledge to a professional level, and by training you to supervise diving activities and to assist with divers in training.

With 51 Scuba, your level of exposure is tremendously increased as we work with several other diving operations, both local and overseas. Providing our Divemasters and trainees the level of high quality demand exposure from these professional operations that will greatly benefit the trainees, developing them into a divemaster that is of professional demand.

Course Overview

Divemaster training consists of three phases or modules that include:

    1. Watermanship and skills assessment
    2. Knowledge development
    3. Practical application

  • Be certified as a PADI Rescue Diver

  • Completed & logged at least 20 open water dives (60 logged dive for certification)

  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • Submit an approved form for diving-medical examination conducted by a licensed physician
